Psychological First Aid
February 18, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - February 19, 2020 @ 8:30 pm
“Psychological First Aid is an evidence based approach to help children, adolescents, adults, and families in the immediate aftermath of traumatic incidents, disasters, and terrorism. It is designed to reduce the initial distress caused by traumatic events and to foster short and long term adaptive functioning and coping.” This training is great for members of the Medical Reserve Corps, first responder teams, school crisis response teams, faith-based organizations, and other disaster relief organizations. The training will be held on February 18th and 19th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm each day. Because the training is 6 hours long it is being split into two days. The training will be held at Montgomery County Hospital District in the boardroom.
