Dr. Mark Escott, MD, MPH, FAAEM, FACEP
 

Dr. Escott has served as Health Authority for the Montgomery County Public Health District since October 2014. Dr. Escott received his undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from Rice University in 1996, his Master’s in Public Health from the University of Texas at Houston School of Public Health and his MD from Flinders University School of Medicine in Adelaide, Australia in 2003.  Dr. Escott completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Penn State University where he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Medical Director of EMS Special Operations. Dr. Escott is an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Section of Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. He also serves there as the Assistant Director for the Division of EMS and Disaster Medicine and Founder and Director of the EMS Collaborative Research Group. Dr. Escott also serves as the Chair-Elect, Section EMS-Pre-Hospital Medicine for the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is a member of The Magnolia Parkway Chamber of Commerce and Montgomery County Homeless Coalition.
